Jim has been involved in almost all aspects of media for more than 40 years. He appeared on almost 30 television programs, hosted or guest hosted on numerous radio networks including on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). He wrote, produced and/or appeared in or on more than 2000 radio and television commercials. During his career, he conducted more than 3000 interviews including authors such as Malcolm Gladwell, Ian Rankin and Robert B. Parker. As well as being a broadcaster, he is also a journalist and a half-decent handy man around the house. While involved in the entertainment business, he initiated the British Invasion Series bringing in popular acts from the U.K. and the U.S. Jim is also the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for his contributions to community and country. Most notably, as an 11-year-old Cub Scout, he received the title of Mang, the Bat of the Jungle for being the most polite and obedient cub scout in the pack for two consecutive years.
